Some enterprise API customers, subject to Anthropic approval, may have arrangements under which Anthropic does not log or store their prompts or completions except where needed to comply with law or combat misuse—as distinct from Anthropic’s default approach to data retention.

Under these arrangements, the only product to which zero retention applies is the Claude API. Zero retention does not apply to beta products, including Workbench in Console or Claude.ai, or any products other than the Claude API, unless explicitly agreed otherwise between Anthropic and the customer.
